Sir Francis Drake High School

Since the late 1980's Sir Francis Drake High School, in San Anselmo, California, has been on a journey of school reform and innovation. The Teaching Staff and Administration has been working hand-in-hand with several regional organizations to enhance the educational system and direction through work in modified scheduling, team teaching and clusters, project-based learning, and academic integration. These efforts have yielded many valuable examples in school reform that have inspired schools, both public and private, across the nation.

California Artists For Education have been working in collaboration with both Sir Francis Drake High School and Redwood High School of the Tamalpais Union High School District since 1996. CAFE's guest artists have worked with many of the integrated studies programs, the 9th/10th grade clusters, and drama department on projects ranging from original script collaborations in a drama class to performance assessments in a world history classroom.
